Hidden high in the mountains, an alpine iteration of Experimental Cocktail Club, the legendary cocktail bar. Through snow covered forests and winding roads, the mountains emerge. A paradise of powder beneath blue skies. Behind the doors of Experimental Chalet Val d’Isère, a cocktail bar tucked away to the side revealing a discreet cocktail haven. A familiar ambiance interpreted through mountain living. Low slung sofas and thick, plush carpet. A friendly face behind the bar, a welcome sight after a day navigating some of Europe’s best skiing. An evening spent with friends toasting to another glorious winter, a DJ descending on the room to turn up the volume of a night out in the French Alps.

Outside, the snow begins to fall, curves of white powder gently take shape outside. Inside, a fireplace roars in response, its warmth a welcome respite to winter’s chill. Glasses arrive at each table, a colourful parade of joy in crystal. Nights stretch on, the eternal choice of just one more drink and an invitation to linger longer, as the mountain slumbers just beyond the window.

Experimental Sounds in Val d’Isère
As the lights lower, the volume begins to rise. A beat reverberates to the rhythm of the cocktails being shaken behind the bar. Afternoons start softly, a gentle welcome at the base of the mountain.
Evenings begin to soar and every Friday and Saturday night, a DJ takes over the sound inviting guests on a journey of discovery, through cocktails and music. Settle in, take a sip and let the music pull you into the night. A weekly rendez-vous, right in the heart of Val d’Isère.
Design
Come for the design, stay for a drink
Hidden behind discreet doors, a cocktail adventure designed by Dorothée Meilichzon awaits. A nod to the heady vibes of the 70s, carpet in burnt orange stretches across the floor and seats overlook a carved wooden bar. A backdrop of ceramic fresco recalls the snowy pistes outside, a curved window echoes the snow drifts just beyond. Around the corner, a second space unfurls.
A futuristic nod embracing winter tones, with snow white walls and hanging pendants and sofas that nod to the colour of pine forests. A place to settle in for an evening, a place to pop in on a whim for a nightcap.
