An adventure down the rabbit hole, at the very place that inspired Lewis Carroll’s legendary tale of Alice in Wonderland. Down winding country roads of Gloucestershire, through towering trees and verdant gardens, an oasis emerges. A manor house, history dating back centuries. Through heavy wooden doors and around the corner, a familiar sound. The light-hearted notes of faint laughter, the echo of ice in a cocktail shaker, music beckoning you nearer. With a view overlooking rolling hills, Experimental Cocktail Club Cotswolds is hidden within the hotel, the perfect balance of countryside characteristics and city elegance. An afternoon tipple in the lounge, a sip before settling down for dinner, just one more before retiring to a sumptuous bed just upstairs.

At the Experimental Cocktail Club Cotswolds, an overwhelming sense of belonging beckons. The twinkle of jazz as afternoon settles in, deeper beats ensue as the evening continues. Weekend nights see the arrival of DJs, an antidote to the idyllic countryside environs, an invitation soak up the sounds with postcard views of rolling hills just beyond our windows. Classics played, a new track to discover, a soundtrack of Experimental in the countryside.

A countryside interpretation of a city refuge, a cocktail escape designed by Dorothée Meilichzon. A building that holds centuries of British history, a bar tucked away inside.
A bar top made of enamelled lava stone in deep blue and rich jewel tones throughout stand out against sumptuous white sofas, wood panelled walls and a bold white marble fireplace. The space embodies the warmth of countryside living whilst nodding to the elegance of a city. The perfect place to escape for cocktails.
